Choppy's 70th
Palmerston North for a Shindig for a family members 70th birthday, with a big party in the farm shed.
Mid winter, cold but the oil heater kept the bus toasty.
The bus started playing up as we were getting into Palmerston North (loosing power and cutting out) which could have been partly because we were running the diesel tank low. We were recommended a mechanic around the corner from where we were staying so ended up staying longer than we had intended to get the diesel line cleaned out, filters replaced, and the tank cleaned out. There was a lot of crap in there (rubber, plastic wrapper, little bit of diesel bug).
It's running fine again and the bill wasn't too bad for the amount of time the mechanic spent on it.
I worked remotely while Kimand the kids got entertained by the relatives. Isaac was spoiled the most, forklift rides, quad bike rides, hunting rabbits, and playing fairies and knights with glow stick on the night of the party.
I'm going to use the mechanic again soon I expect, probably to fix the master clutch slave cylinder.
It was a good place to get stuck really as we were well looked after.
