Keeping it local down at Lyall Bay
A day off work and our boy at daycare, we took some time out for ourselves.
This was Kim's first time going for a drive in the bus, I think she actually enjoyed it (I didn't know what to expect really). The past few weeks since purchasing the bus haven't gone exactly to plan, we unfortunately had a death in the family so we took some time off work for the funeral and to spend with family.
We took the opportunity to drop our boy Isaac off at his daycare so we had some time to ourselves as that doesn't happen very often. We've had to put off going for an overnight trip for some time, but instead our maiden trip was just a local drive down to the beach. A visit to one of favourite cafes Maranui, then a stroll on the beach. We scored a sweet sticker for the back of the bus from the Maranui Cafe.
Then we drove further round the coast, parked up, opened it up for fresh air and took a nap. Listened to the waves and enjoyed the sun beaming into the bus.
