This long weekend we took a trip up the Kapiti Coastline to Ngā Manu Nature Reserve. A good way to celebrate 2 years bus ownership!
It was only a short trip up the coast to a place we often head to but everytime it delivers something new. This time it was to treat the boys to duck feeding, bush walks, sunrise walk with tourch to spot rabbits and Pukeko, bike rides, paddling in the ocean, and playgrounds.
Leon is really starting to enjoy his independance zooming around on his bike. At the beach he got taken down by a wave and was covered in sand which didn't bother him too much (would have been cold though!). We are so lucky to be able to have a hot shower in the bus to clean off and warm up so easily—the benefits of buslife.
We stayed one night at the beach and the second at the nature reserve itself amongst the wetlands. Good weather, good freedom camping, plenty of beach.
